Troubleshooting
Fixes for the problems people hit most. The Health window in the app menu shows the details.
macOS keeps asking for folder access
- Make sure Agents Keeper is in Applications and you open it from there, not from the disk image.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Files and Folders, find Agents Keeper Service and turn on the folder.
- If it still asks after an update, quit Agents Keeper, open it again, and allow once more. Each update can be confirmed once.
An agent isn't detected
- Check Settings → Harnesses: it shows whether Claude Code and Codex were found and why not.
- Run
claude --versionorcodex --versionin a terminal. If it fails, install or sign in first (see Connect Claude Code or Codex). - Sessions in a protected folder appear only after you allow folder access.
A session won't resume
- “Its folder is gone or unknown”
- The project moved or was deleted. Choose Relocate… and pick where it lives now.
- “The conversation has no messages to resume”
- The session never got a first message, so there's nothing to continue. Start a new session instead.
- Folder access was refused
- Allow the folder for Agents Keeper Service (see the first item on this page), then try again.
